New foundation board and events

The California Transportation Foundation (CTF) thanks exiting board members: Riverside County Transportation Commission Executive Director Anne Mayer; San Diego Association of Governments Executive Director Gary Gallegos; Contra Costa Transportation Authority Executive Director Randy Iwasaki; Union Pacific Public Affairs Director Lupe Valdez; Transportation California Executive Director Will Kempton; Nossaman, LLP Owner Stan Taylor; and HNTB West Division President Art Hadnett. 

The newest members to CTF’s Board are: HDR Vice President Carlton Haack; pointC, LLC Executive Vice President Tony Harris; Smith, Watts, & Hartmann Principal D.J. Smith; HTNB Northern California Operations Manager R. Jeff Watson; Sonoma County Transportation Authority Executive Director Suzanne Smith; Nossaman, LLP Infrastructure Practice Group Chair Patrick Harder; University of Southern California Transportation Engineering Program Director James E. Moore II; and Transportation Authority of Marin Executive Director Dianne Steinhauser. Nomination forms for the 2016 Transportation Awards are due March 1, 2017.  Go to CTF’s website for further information. The awards ceremony will be held on May 24, 2017.

A Worker’s Memorial Fund was recently established for District 7 Landscape Maintenance Worker Andrew Avazian who recently passed away. The fund will assist his family with burial expenses and other financial obligations. Donations can be made at www.transportationfoundation.org/donate.

Don’t forget that CTF helps fund historic preservation projects, transportation exhibits and significant district, program or project anniversaries.
