San Francisco County Completed Projects (from 2024 to present)
Explore how Caltrans is building a better San Francisco-Bay Area—one project at a time.
Caltrans District 4 is making a positive difference in San Francisco County through our mission to improve lives and communities across the county’s roads and freeways. So, we’re dedicating this page to Caltrans San Francisco County projects that have been completed from 2024 to the present.
These completed projects would not have been possible without months of planning, coordinating, and implementing among Caltrans’s maintenance crews, transportation engineers, and construction professionals. In addition to Caltrans’s staff, our relationship with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, San Francisco County Transportation Authority, San Francisco Public Works, and others, have been crucial to us completing projects and helping us keep the San Francisco Bay Area moving safely. From upgraded highways, repaved roads, repaired potholes, refurbished bridges, and connector ramps, Caltrans District 4 is making progress.
Here are recently completed projects that have enhanced helping you drive, cycle, walk, and commute in and around San Francisco:
