Bridge Barrier Rehabilitation at 3rd and 23rd streets, Northbound US-101/Paul Ave. Off-Ramp Closed
Current Advisories
Project Overview
Caltrans has closed the northbound US-101/Paul Ave., off ramp in San Francisco as of January 6, until July 2025. This closure will be in effect 24 hours a day throughout the closure period to allow maintenance crews to make necessary replacements to two bridge barriers located on the Bayshore Blvd. ramp at the southbound US-101 on ramp overcrossing.
Specific work locations of this project are taking place at the 3rd St. undercrossing and the 23rd St. overcrossing highlighted in the location map to the right. The extensive work required of this project and the need to secure the safety of motorists and Caltrans’ crews, requires the ramp closure.
Motorists can use the northbound US-101 Silver Ave., exit and reach Bayshore Blvd., at the traffic signal. Find the detour map to the right (just below the location map).
Traffic Control Measures
Changeable messages and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. During the closures. Please drive with caution.
Caltrans thanks motorists for their patience while we work to maintain our state’s highways, bridges, and tunnels.
