Hats Off

Motorist thankful for Caltrans crew’s ‘awesomeness’

Note: The following letter was sent to District 5 by Robert Robe.

“This is the second time in as many years that I must stop and say ‘THANK YOU’ to the Caltrans District 5 Salinas Maintenance Crew, which covers U.S. Highway 101 from Prunedale through the Aromas area in Monterey County. I’m sure they also cover a broader spectrum, but this is the area that I drive the most. And this crew is always spot on!

“It’s amazing how much this crew gets done on a weekly basis and the pride in which they do their jobs. From picking up dead animals, cleaning up accident debris, to cleaning out homeless encampments, trimming trees and sweeping the highway. They have continually been doing an excellent job and help make my driving along this corridor safer and more pleasant.

“Keep up the awesomeness!”

Caltrans QuickMap is 'absolutely fantastic'

Note: The following email was sent to Caltrans' Division of Research, Innovation and System Information in late November 2019 by John Henkel of NETGEAR Business.

“I’m planning on heading up to Reno for Thanksgiving and am really, truly happy with what your team has done with the QuickMap. This site gives me all the information I need in one spot. Absolutely fantastic!

“Please pass this along to all of the responsible people! You rock!

“Thank you!"
