Office of Transit Planning
The Office of Transit Planning works closely with over 300 local transit operators across California, helping to plan, fund, and support the state's transit systems. While Caltrans doesn't directly operate transit, we play a key role in coordinating projects and funding as well as promoting policies that align with statewide goals. By fostering collaboration among transit agencies and advocating for a world-class transit network, Caltrans is ensuring the development of a unified, equitable, high quality & sustainable transit program for all.
