Staying strong

Employee Assistance Program

Being healthy and fit benefits both body and mind. When you feel well mentally and physically, you’re more likely to make good decisions about food, exercise, and sleep. When you’re not feeling well, it’s easier to give in to temptations, eat poorly, and not take good care of yourself. We all have “off days.” Here are some tips to stay strong:

Always make your health a priority. Adequate rest, good nutrition, and regular exercise can keep you healthy and better able to handle stressful situations.

Cultivate close, supportive relationships. Good social relationships are strongly correlated with happiness and longevity. When you have friends, family, and caring people to talk to, it’s easier to get through the rough patches in life.

Make time for activities you enjoy. All work and no play can have a negative impact on health. It’s up to you to carve out a healthy work-life balance.

Take a break when you need one. We all need a chance to relax and recharge.
