District 7 Complete Streets

California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) adopted the Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan: Toward an Active California in 2017 and the Mode Share Action Plan 2.0 in 2020, demonstrating a deep commitment to plan, design, construct, operate, and maintain walk and bike facilities across the state.

Caltrans believes that streets are more than just thoroughfares for cars, but vital public spaces that connect communities and enhance quality of life. Through collaboration with local partners and stakeholders, we aim to create streets that are equitable, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of all users, regardless of age, ability, or mode of travel.

Complete Streets Project Outreach:

Public engagement is crucial to successful complete streets projects, and District 7 is committed to better understanding and reflecting the diverse needs and perspectives of our community within our right of way.

Through early coordination in project delivery, feedback can be used to better align the purpose and need of projects, influence the range of alternatives, and inform staff on desired improvements to a project area. We thank you for your interest in contributing to transportation improvement projects,  your input is greatly appreciated.
