Los Angeles — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is planning full and partial closures on State Route 118 (SR-118) near the city of San Fernando and the neighborhood of Pacoima on Friday night, November 15 and Saturday night, November 16 at Glenoaks Boulevard. The closures will allow crews to safely work on replacing a culvert system across the highway.
The following closures will take place on Friday, November 15:
· Full closure of westbound SR-118 at Glenoaks Blvd. from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
· Westbound I-210 to westbound SR-118 connector closed from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
· Eastbound I-210 to westbound SR-118 connector closed from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
· Up to three lanes of eastbound SR-118 at Glenoaks Blvd. from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m.
The following closures will take place on Saturday, November 16:
· Full closure of westbound SR-118 at Glenoaks Blvd. from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m.
· Westbound I-210 to westbound SR-118 connector closed from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m.
· Eastbound I-210 to westbound SR-118 connector closed from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m.
· Up to three lanes of eastbound SR-118 at Glenoaks Blvd. from 11 p.m. to noon
Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Residents and businesses located near construction may experience noise, vibrations and dust associated with construction activities. This approximately $6.3 million project is happening on a stretch of SR-118 from Herrick Avenue to Foothill Boulevard. When completed, the project will restore functionality and extend service life to the drainage system on SR-118.
