Upcoming Ramp Closures on State Route 134 Between Eagle Rock and Pasadena

Los Angeles County — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announces scheduled westbound and eastbound ramp closures on State Route 134 (SR-134) between the Los Angeles community of Eagle Rock and city of Pasadena. The closures will be nightly starting on Monday, June 23 to Wednesday, June 25 to minimize traffic impacts. The closures are subject to change and scheduled as follows:

 

Monday, June 23 to Tuesday, June 24

 

Westbound Ventura Freeway, SR-134

·      San Rafael Ave off-ramp, closed from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

·      Orange Grove Boulevard on-ramp, closed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Eastbound Ventura Freeway, SR-134

·      San Rafael Ave on-ramp, closed from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

·      Orange Grove Boulevard off-ramp, closed from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

 

Tuesday, June 24 to Wednesday, June 25

 

Westbound Ventura Freeway, SR-134

·      San Rafael Ave off-ramp, closed from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

·      Orange Grove Boulevard on-ramp, closed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

 

Eastbound Ventura Freeway, SR-134

·      San Rafael Ave on-ramp, closed from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

·      Orange Grove Boulevard off-ramp, closed from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

 

The closures are necessary for striping removal and application of tape striping. Additionally, this project will install red reflective markers and signs at off-ramps to prevent wrong way drivers at various locations in Los Angeles County and Ventura County.

 

Residents and local businesses located near the freeway may experience noise, vibrations and grinding associated with construction activities. The schedule is weather permitting, and all dates and times are subject to change. Detour signs will be posted. Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes. Construction of the $1.2 million project is scheduled to be completed summer 2025.
