Los Angeles— Caltrans is planning overnight connector and lane closures along State Route 91 (SR-91) from Cerritos to Gardena in Los Angeles County, starting Monday Dec. 15 through Saturday Dec. 20, for k-rail installation for a sign rehabilitation project.
SR-91 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction overnight between the Orange County line at postmile 20.7 in Cerritos to Vermont Ave in the city of Gardena. There will be rolling overnight full closures at connectors and ramps as the contractor moves between locations for K-rail installation. Detour routes will be marked.

This $34 million project will rehabilitate and upgrade roadside and overhead signs, lighting, restore highway planting, replace guardrail, and make worker safety improvements a 14.7-mile stretch of SR-91 in Los Angeles County. It is expected to be completed in summer 2029. The contractor is Security Paving Company, Inc.
