SUN VALLEY — Caltrans is planning overnight lane closures on southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) in Sun Valley, starting Monday March 30 through Friday April 3, for bridge repair work on Sheldon Street Overcrossing.
Southbound I-5 will be reduced to one lane overnight between Branford Street and Sheldon Street/Laurel Canyon Boulevard.
The closures are subject to change and are scheduled as follows:
Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3:
- Up to three lanes will be closed on southbound I-5 from Branford Street to Sheldon Street/Laurel Canyon Boulevard starting as early as 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
- Branford Street on-ramp to southbound I-5 will be closed as early as 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Caltrans encourages motorists to allow extra travel time and to drive with caution in the area.
Due to weather or operational reasons, the schedule is subject to change including the times and dates, the number of closures and other details. This work is part of $1.7 million bridge repair project to address damages to the southbound side of Sheldon Street Overcrossing. The contractor is Interstate Civil Construction.
