LOS ANGELES — Caltrans announces overnight closures taking place on U.S. Highway 101 (U.S. 101) in Hollywood Thursday, May 28 through Saturday, May 30, for bridge rehabilitation work.
Southbound U.S. 101 will be reduced to one lane overnight between Gower Street and Vine Street.
The closures are subject to change and are scheduled as follows:
Thursday night, May 28 through Friday morning, May 29:
Southbound U.S. 101
- Up to three lanes will be closed on southbound I-5 from Vine Street to Gower Street starting as early as 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Cahuenga Boulevard on-ramp to southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Vine Street on-ramp to southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Gower Street off-ramp from southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Hollywood Boulevard off-ramp from southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Vine Street off-ramp from southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Friday night, May 29 through Saturday morning, May 30:
Southbound U.S. 101
- Up to three lanes will be closed on southbound I-5 from Vine Street to Gower Street starting as early as 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.
- Cahuenga Boulevard on-ramp to southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.
- Vine Street on-ramp from southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.
- Gower Street off-ramp from southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.
- Hollywood Boulevard off-ramp from southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.
- Vine Street off-ramp from southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.
Saturday night, May 30 through Sunday morning, May 31:
Southbound U.S. 101
- Up to three lanes will be closed on southbound I-5 from Vine Street to Gower Street starting as early as 11 p.m. until 9 a.m.
- Cahuenga Boulevard on-ramp to southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. until 9 a.m.
- Vine Street on-ramp from southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. until 9 a.m.
- Gower Street off-ramp from southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. until 9 a.m.
- Hollywood Boulevard off-ramp from southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. until 9 a.m.
- Vine Street off-ramp from southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. until 9 a.m.
Caltrans encourages motorists to allow extra travel time and to drive with caution in the area.
Due to weather or operational reasons, the schedule is subject to change including the times and dates, the number of closures and other details. This work is part of $20.8 million bridge rehabilitation project to rehabilitate the Argyle-Franklin Undercrossing and Gower Street Off-ramp bridges on U.S. 101 and Big Tujunga Wash bridge on I-210 with seismic retrofitting, bridge deck resurfacing, and reconstruction of slabs and curb ramps. The contractor is Truesdell Corporation of California, Inc.
