LOS ANGELES — Caltrans announces overnight closures taking place on U.S. Highway 101 (U.S. 101) in Hollywood and Interstate 210 (I-210) Sunland, on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3, for striping for a bridge rehabilitation project.
Northbound and Southbound U.S. 101 will be reduced to two lanes overnight between Gower Street and Vine Street. Eastbound and Westbound I-210 will be reduced to two lanes overnight between Wheatland Avenue and Sunland Boulevard
The closures are subject to change and are scheduled as follows:
Thursday, April 2:
Northbound U.S. 101
- Up to two lanes will be closed on northbound I-5 from Gower Street to Vine Street starting as early as 11 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Southbound U.S. 101
- Up to two lanes will be closed on southbound I-5 from Vine Street to Gower Street starting as early as 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Argyle Avenue on-ramp to southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Gower Street off-ramp to southbound U.S. 101 will be closed as early as 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Friday, April 3:
Eastbound I-210
- Up to two lanes will be closed on eastbound I-210 from Wheatland Avenue to Sunland Boulevard starting as early as 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Westbound I-210
- Up to two lanes will be closed on westbound I-210 from Sunland Boulevard to Wheatland Avenue starting as early as 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Due to weather or operational reasons, the schedule is subject to change including the times and dates, the number of closures and other details. This work is part of $20.8 million bridge rehabilitation project to rehabilitate the Argyle-Franklin Undercrossing and Gower Street Off-ramp bridges on U.S. 101 and Big Tujunga Wash bridge on I-210 with seismic retrofitting, bridge deck resurfacing, and reconstruction of slabs and curb ramps. The contractor is Truesdell Corporation of California, Inc.
