HIGHWAY 17 TREE WORK IN SANTA CRUZ TO CLOSE
ONE NORTHBOUND LANE SET TO BEGIN MONDAY, AUGUST 17
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY —Tree removal work expected to result in daytime closures of one lane of northbound Highway 17 in Santa Cruz set to begin Monday, August 17.
Starting Monday, August 17 and continuing Tuesday, August 18 and Thursday August 20, travelers will encounter a closure of the #2 (right) lane from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, between Vine Hill Rd. and Sugar Loaf Rd.
Starting Friday, August 21, travelers will encounter a closure of the #2 (right) lane from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, on Highway 17 from Post Mile 1.30 to 2.30.
Crews will not be trimming trees on Wednesday, August 19.
Please allow extra time for travel through the area. Travelers can expect delays of between 10 and 15 minutes.
Message and directional signs will be in place to alert travelers.
Contracted crews will be utilizing a crane and removing trees for the safety of all travelers.
