INTERMITTENT LANE CLOSURES ON HIGHWAY 229
NEAR CRESTON SET TO START JULY 22
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — A project to maintain the condition of existing asphalt along Hwy 229 between Rocky Canyon Road and State Route 41 in Creston is set to begin Wednesday, July 22 and last through early-Fall.
Travelers heading north and southbound Hwy. 229 will encounter overnight and daytime work. The intermittent lane closures will be in place starting Wednesday, July 22 and travelers can expect delays to not exceed 10 minutes.
Message signs are in place to alert travelers. Please allow for extra time for your commute through the area.
The contractor for this $1.5 million project is Granite Construction of Arroyo Grande, CA. This project is expected to be complete in September 2026.
