FULL DAYTIME CLOSURE OF SOUTHBOUND HIGHWAY 1 BUENA VISTA DRIVE
ON-RAMP IN WATSONVILLE SET TO BEGIN THURSDAY, JULY 16
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY — Travelers will encounter a full closure of the southbound Highway 1 Buena Vista Drive on-ramp in Watsonville beginning Thursday, July 16.
The closure will be in place from 7 am to 4 pm as crews work on repairing a drainage system at the end of the ramp. The closure will now take place on July 16 and 17 and will continue the following week from July 20 through July 24.
A detour will be available. Travelers attempting to merge on southbound Highway 1 will be directed from the Buena Vista Dr. on-ramp to proceed to Ranport Rd. where they will enter southbound Highway 1 using the Airport Blvd. on-ramp.
Travelers can expect up to 10-minute delays. Message and directional signs will alert travelers in advance of the on-ramp closure.
