SWEEPING OPERATIONS TO RESULT IN DAYTIME TRAFFIC DELAYS ON US 101 AND HIGHWAYS 25, 156 AND 129

SAN BENITO COUNTY — Caltrans is performing a sweeping operation on SR 68, US 101 and SR 129 this week with 10–15 minute anticipated delays. Details are as follows:

Tues, April 7- SR 25: from San Felipe Road to Highway 156 roundabout and around

Wed, April 8- Hwy 156: from 4th street (right shoulders) to county line

Thurs, April 9- US 101: from county line to county line- all bridges and ramps

Fri, April 10- SR 129: from county line to US 101 connector shoulder

Sat, April 11- SR 25: from Santa Ana to Sunset Drive- all median islands and weed cleaning.

  • Moving lane closure from 9 am to 2 pm for sweeping operation.

These sweeping operations are to protect surrounding properties and the travelling public.

Electronic message signs will be activated to inform the public about this roadwork.

This roadwork will be performed by the Caltrans Maintenance crew, resulting in a safe environment for all travelers.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
