HIGHWAY 154 EMERGENCY SLIP OUT REPAIRS NOW COMPLETE

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY — Construction crews completed emergency work on a slip out and slope repairs along Highway 154 that occurred in June 2024.

As of Tuesday, April 28, at 4 pm, Highway 154 between San Antonio Creek Road and Painted Cave Road, will be restored to its original travel alignment following the completion of final paving operations.

One final shift of traffic control between San Antonio Creek Road and Painted Cave Road will take place in mid-June for crews to apply high friction surface treatment.

Through mid-June, a reduced speed limit will be effect until all repairs are completed.

The contractor for this $20 million project was CalPortland Construction, Inc. of Santa Maria, CA.
