DAYTIME AND OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURES FOR PAVING PROJECT
ON US 101 IN MONTEREY COUNTY CONTINUES NEXT WEEK
MONTEREY COUNTY — A paving project on US 101 from the Jolon Road undercrossing near King City to just north of Lagomarsino Ave. near Greenfield will result in a long-term lane closure.
Travelers heading northbound on US 101 will be reduced to one lane beginning two miles north of Jolon Road to just south of Central Avenue. The lane reduction will begin Wednesday, April 29, and is expected to last through July.
Construction crews will work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm and overnight from 8 pm to 6 am.
The full pavement project allows for the grinding and paving of roughly eight miles of northbound and southbound US 101. The on and off-ramps of Jolon Rd. will intermittently be closed in both directions of US 101 as paving work in that area takes place.
Message and directional signs will alert travelers in advance of the areas under traffic control. Please allow for extra time for your travels through the area.
The contractor for this $19 million project is Granite Construction of Arroyo Grande, CA. Construction is expected to be complete by Summer 2028.
