HIGHWAY 9 DAYTIME ONE-WAY REVERSING TRAFFIC CONTROL
CONTINUES DURING WEEK OF APRIL 27
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY — Travelers on Highway 9 will encounter daytime one-way reversing traffic control Monday through Friday at multiple locations during the week of April 27.
Projects Under Construction
The Highway 9 San Lorenzo River and Kings Creek Bridge Replacement Project is taking place north of Boulder Creek and involves the full replacement of these bridges for the safety of the traveling public.

Traffic control continues Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1 from 7 am to 5 pm as crews install a temporary signal at these locations. The temporary signals are scheduled for activation on Tuesday April 28 at Kings Creek and Thursday April 30 at San Lorenzo River Bridge providing 24/7 signalized one-way control.
The Highway 9 Felton Pedestrian Safety Improvements Project is constructing a sidewalk and bikeable shoulder on the southbound side of Hwy. 9 between the San Lorenzo Valley Schools Complex and downtown Felton continues with daytime and overnight traffic control.
Thursday, April 30, to Friday, May 1:
Overnight traffic control on Hwy. 9 north of Graham Hill Rd, PM 6.4- 6.6, from 8 pm to 6 am for electrical utility relocation work. This schedule is weather dependent.
The Highway 9 Upper Drainage and Erosion Control Improvements Project is improving the operation of key drainage systems along Hwy. 9 and will include culvert replacement, paving, and enhancement of erosion control systems. This work will take place between Brookdale and the junction with upper Hwy. 236.
- Crews will install a temporary traffic signal, which will establish 24/7 traffic control. Signal installation will resume Friday, May 1 to Saturday, May 2 from 7 am to 5 pm at Pacific St. to Irwin Way.
- Crews will remove a temporary barrier system on Monday, April 27 in Boulder Creek between Mcgaffigan Mill Rd. & Saratoga Toll Rd.

Message and directional signs will alert travelers in advance of the areas under traffic control. Please allow for extra time for your travels through the area.
