HIGHWAY 17 TREE WORK IN SANTA CRUZ TO CLOSE
ONE NORTHBOUND LANE POSTPONED
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY — Tree removal work expected to result in daytime closures of one lane of northbound Highway 17 in Santa Cruz this week postponed.
This closure was expected to begin Monday, April 20. Due to weather conditions, the work has been pushed back to Monday, May 4.
Starting Monday, May 4 and continuing through Friday, May 8, travelers will encounter a closure of the #2 (right) lane from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, between Beulah Park Dr. and Sims Rd. off-ramp south of Scotts Valley.
Please allow extra time for travel through the area. Travelers can expect delays of between 10 and 15 minutes.
Message and directional signs will be in place to alert travelers.
Contracted crews will be utilizing a crane and removing trees for the safety of all travelers.
