CONSTRUCTION ON THE WELLSONA ROAD
SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT COMPLETE
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — A project to construct an undercrossing and frontage road near the intersection of US 101 and Wellsona Road is complete.
The new undercrossing includes a 112-foot-long bridge, a frontage road that connects the undercrossing with Wellsona Road on either side of US 101. The undercrossing beneath US 101, south of the existing intersection, eliminates the need for motorists to make left turns across traffic on US 101.
The contractor for this $12.2 million project was CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria, CA.
