One-Way Reversing Traffic Control for Roadway Restoration Along Highway 1 at Mud Creek Set to Begin Monday, October 5

MONTEREY COUNTY — Travelers on Highway 1 near Mud Creek will encounter one-way reversing traffic control for roadway restoration beginning Monday, October 5.

The repairs will take place from Post Mile 8.5 to 9.5 Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 5 pm with a potential for work on Sundays.

Crews will work to realign the roadway away from the historical Mud Creek slide prone area and install geotechnical monitoring equipment.

Message and directional signs will alert travelers in advance of the traffic control. Drivers can expect delays of up to 10 minutes. Please allow extra time for your travels through the area.
