State Route 4 – Lane & Ramp Closures
Long-Term One-Way Traffic Control At Old River Bridge

San Joaquin County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 4 (SR-4) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Long-term, 24-hour, one-way traffic control will be implemented on SR-4 at the Old River Bridge (San Joaquin/Contra Costa County line) for construction through November 2026.
    • Vehicles measuring over 34 feet in length are strongly recommended to seek alternate routes. SR-12 or Interstate 205 are highway alternatives between Discovery Bay and Stockton.
  • Overnight, one-way traffic control from Whiskey Slough Road in Holt to the Old River Bridge for construction beginning Sunday, August 2, through Friday, August 7, from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
    • Plan Ahead: 12-hour full highway closure from Roberts Road to Old River Bridge scheduled from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
    • Plan Ahead: 55-hour full highway closure from Roberts Road to Old River Bridge scheduled from 10:00 p.m. on August 14, until 5:00 a.m. on August 17, 2026.
  • Overnight, intermittent one-way traffic control from SR-99 to the San Joaquin/Stanislaus County line for pavement work beginning Sunday, August 2, through Friday, August 9, from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, one-way traffic control from Drais Avenue to Hollenbeck Road for utility work beginning Tuesday, August 4, through Thursday, August 6, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Interstate 5 – Ramp & Lane Closures
Closures From Downing Avenue To Sacramento County Line

San Joaquin County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 (I-5) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, full on- and off-ramp closures on southbound I-5 at Downing Avenue for paving operations beginning Monday, August 3, through Thursday, August 6, from 10:30 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full on- and off-ramp closures on northbound and southbound I-5 at Benjamin Holt Drive for traffic signal work beginning Sunday, August 2, through Wednesday, August 5, from 10:30 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound I-5 from Hammer Lane to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line for construction beginning Sunday, August 2, through Saturday, August 8, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).
  • Overnight, alternating full on and off-ramp closures at Hammer Lane, Eight Mile Road, SR-12 (Flag City), Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Walnut Grove/Thornton Road for construction beginning Sunday, August 2, through Saturday, August 8, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).
    • Plan Ahead: Final traffic shift back to original lane configuration is scheduled for the weekend of July 31-August 2, 2026.

The above listed lane and ramp closures on I-5 between Hammer Lane and the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line are required as part of the I-5 Anchor Pavement Project that will improve 34 miles of existing pavement and shoulders from Hammer Lane in Stockton to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line. The project will also replace on- and off-ramps with upgraded concrete at Eight Mile Road, State Route 12, Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Thornton Road/Walnut Grove Road. State Route 12 – Lane Closures
One-Way Traffic Control For Tree & Utility Work

San Joaquin County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 12 (SR-12) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control from Kennison Lane to Tecklenburg Road for utility work beginning Thursday, August 6, through Friday, August 7, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Route 88 East to Johnson Road in Clements for tree work beginning Tuesday, August 4, through Friday, August 7, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

State Route 26 – Lane Closures
One-Way Traffic Control For Pavement Work

San Joaquin County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 26/Fremont Street (SR-26) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, intermittent one-way traffic control from SR-99 to Murray Road for pavement work beginning Sunday, August 2, through Friday, August 7, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Long-term closure of the right shoulder at Jack Tone Road for pavement work through August 12, 2026.

State Route 88 – Lane Closures
One-Way Traffic Control For Bridge Work At Bear Creek

San Joaquin County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 88 (SR-88) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control at Bear Creek for bridge work beginning Sunday, August 2, through Friday, August 7, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

State Route 99 – Lane Closures
Overnight Closures In Manteca

San Joaquin County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 99 (SR-99) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound SR-99 from Jack Tone Road to SR-120/Manteca Bypass for construction beginning Sunday, August 2, through Friday, August 7, from 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound.)

State Route 120 – Ramp Closures
Overnight Closures In Manteca

San Joaquin County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 120 (SR-120) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, connector ramp closures from eastbound SR-120/Yosemite Avenue to southbound SR-99 for construction beginning Sunday, August 2, through Friday, August 7, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
