What is TransitWiki
The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA ITS) established the beta version of www.transitwiki.org during their work to support the California Statewide Transit Strategic Plan. Transitwiki.org is maintained by UCLA ITS, with funding provided by the California Department of Transportation, Division of Rail and Mass Transportation.
The goal of the site is to facilitate information transfer among transit agencies and transit practitioners. This site contains information about transit strategies, examples of their implementation, and links to reports and guidance. Users have the option to contribute articles to the site as well as engage in discussion forums about particular topics.
Because the tool is web-based, it can connect peers working on similar issues at separate agencies to share information about successful strategies and lessons learned. Through use of the tool, the transit community shall be able to view and submit transit related material, share transit related information, and be informed of upcoming transit related workshops/conferences.
