Federal Transit Procurement Branch - State Paratransit Vehicle Contracts
State Paratransit Vehicle Contracts Overview
Caltrans, Division of Rail and Mass Transportation (DRMT) procures ADA accessible paratransit vehicles on the behalf of eligible FTA Section 5310 and 5311 non-profit subrecipient agencies using the State's paratransit vehicle contracts. Governmental bodies empowered to spend public funds pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 10298 and 10299 are also eligible to purchase from the State's paratransit vehicle contracts. These contracts are fully compliant with State and federal procurement guidelines and are administered by the Department of General Services (DGS). Small Cutaway Vehicles
The small cutaway is a medium-size, light-duty gasoline vehicle. This vehicle has a standard configuration of 8 ambulatory positions and a minimum 2 wheelchair positions with an FTA useful life of 5 years or 150,000 miles.
