The Consultant shall perform consultation, research, professional and technical services required for Professional and Technical Specialist Engineering Services, including, but not limited to, field sampling, construction materials testing, analysis, reports, plant inspection and work related to testing equipment calibration, on an “as-needed” basis to support the Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Division of Engineering Services, Materials Engineering and Testing Services  (METS), District 59 in the maintenance, development, and construction of proposed Caltrans transportation facilities.
