Director's Corner
Be aware: We need you to complete cybersecurity training!
Greetings, Caltrans family. I would like to remind you about something you need to do by Oct. 31: complete the 2024 Annual Cybersecurity Awareness Training.
As you probably know, cybersecurity threats are increasingly sophisticated and frequent. Our safety depends on our ability to stay informed and take preventative action. This latest cyber training will equip you with the knowledge to protect your computer account, credentials and the enterprise network from malicious emails, texts, phone calls and websites.
The training, which takes approximately 120 minutes to complete, is accessible from Caltrans’ Onramp page (https://onramp.dot.ca.gov/). From there, you:
- Click on Enterprise Web Apps.
- Click on the link titled “2024 Annual Cybersecurity Awareness Training.”
- Use your Caltrans email address to login. (Your password is not required.)
- Click on “Go To Training.”
For best performance, it is recommended to perform the training from your workstation or laptop using the Microsoft Edge Internet browser.
All Caltrans employees, contractors, consultants, partners, vendors, students, retired annuitants, and volunteers with access to computers or network resources must complete this training.
Something else we would really appreciate your doing by Nov. 1: take our annual employee survey.
The annual employee survey is one of Caltrans’ key tools for organizational improvement. As always, respondents are encouraged to be as forthright as they care to be, as their questions are collected anonymously.
This year’s survey was developed by Caltrans, for Caltrans. We know your time is valuable, and this survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. You may access the survey using the following link: 2024 Employee Survey
If you or your team members have any questions or need assistance with the survey, please contact Strategic.Planning@dot.ca.gov.
Thank you for doing those two things, and for all the other things you are doing to make Caltrans the best it can be. Enjoy the fall season and please stay safe.
