SR-91 Culvert Replacement Corona

Project Overview

RIVERSIDE COUNTY— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) alerts the public that crews are performing culvert operations on State Route 91 (SR-91) in Corona. Work activities will occur just west of Green River Drive. This is part of a $12.6M project to replace 82-foot-long segments of existing culverts and improve wildlife crossing linkage.

Construction signs have been placed in the project zone to alert drivers of the work area ahead. Work operations began in November 2025. Project work is expected to be completed by fall 2027. All work is weather and material dependent.

What to Expect

Currently crews are working on electrical items in the project zone. Work will be performed on Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., requiring no lane closures at this time. Unless in case of emergency. Minor delays are expected near the work zone.

Please note that various work equipment and vehicles will be transporting material in and out of the project zone. Please reduce your speed when near work areas for the safety of crews and other drivers on the route. Signage will be placed ahead to indicate approaching roadway work.

Residents and businesses please note that 55-hour closures of mainline lanes and local ramps may be required to perform project activities. Further information will be provided about planned closures. Detours and delay times are expected. Plan accordingly! We appreciate your patience as we work to improve infrastructure on this important corridor.
