State Route 74 Widen Lanes, Add Shoulders and Rumble Strips Project

Riverside, CA – Construction work will soon begin on State Route (SR) 74 near the City of Lake Elsinore for a lane widening and safety features project. This $90M project will widen the roadway to 12’ lanes, add a median buffer and outside shoulders, install rumble strips, upgrade guardrail and regrade slopes. The work will be located going west from Monte Vista St. to Grand Ave. Traffic delays are expected during construction activity which requires nightly flagging with lane closures and daywork as needed. Additionally weekend operations may require extended closures (including 55-hour full route closures) to perform work activities.
