State Route 74 Raise Curb Median Safety Project in Hemet, California

Project Description:

The State Route 74 (SR-74) Median Barrier project will install a raised curb median barrier on SR-74 from west of Acacia Avenue to the Ramona Expressway Intersection in Riverside County.

Purpose and Need:

Based on date from Caltrans Annual Multilane Cross Median Collision Monitoring Report, SR-74 was identified for safety improvements within the project limits for the prevention of cross-median collisions.

Approximate Construction Schedule:
Begin construction in Summer 2018
End Construction in Summer 2019

Primary Goals:

Prevent cross-median collisions
Maintain traffic flow

Title VI Information
