SR-18 Raised Curb Median at SR-395

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to add a raised curb median to State Route 18 (SR-18) between Cobalt Road and US Highway 395.

Purpose & Need

This project will widen State Route 18 (SR-18) and construct a raised curb median from Cobalt Road to the United States Highway 395 in Victorville, San Bernardino County to reduce the occurrences of cross-median collisions. The project also constructs left-turn lanes to reduce the occurrences of rear-end type collisions by enhancing the free-flow movement of the through lanes.
