Super 605 Extended Weekend Lane Reductions
Super 605 Freeway Enhancement Project
Segment 3 - I-10 to Telegraph Road
Caltrans District 7 is conducting a pavement rehabilitation project on most of Interstate 605. The segment of I-605 from I-10 to Telegraph Road includes rehabilitating pavement and concrete slabs, 93 lane miles of new pavement, upgrading more than 16,000 linear feet of guardrail and replacing 16 overhead sign structures.
When completed, the project will improve the overall ride quality, safety, and operational performance of the I-605 corridor for drivers and extend the service life of the roadway up to 40 years.
The segment of I-605 from I-10 to Telegraph Road is currently being repaved over a series of extended weekend lane reductions which are scheduled for the weekends of Oct. 3, Oct. 10, Oct. 17. Oct. 24, Nov. 4, Nov. 21, Dec. 5, and Dec. 12. Extended weekend lane reductions are expected to continue through 2026.
The extended weekend lane reductions are in effect from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Demolition of old concrete and compacting occurs on Friday night of each weekend. Residents and businesses located near construction may experience noise, vibrations and dust associated with demolition activities. We thank you for your understanding as we improve your freeway.
