AGOURA HILLS ― Caltrans announces a full closure on Agoura Road between Rondell Street and Hydepark Drive in the city of Agoura Hills. The scheduled closure will allow crews to safely perform construction of abutment walls as part of the ongoing construction of the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing.
The full closure will be in effect from Monday, April 20, through Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Closures will occur Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
No through traffic of any kind, including motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians, will be permitted within the closure limits during scheduled work hours. Construction activity may occur on some weekends, but no closures will take place during those times. Closures are weather permitting and subject to change. Motorists should anticipate delays and detours via local routes.
Caltrans reminds drivers to “Be Work Zone Alert” and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
DETOUR
Motorists will use U.S. Route 101 between Chesebro Road and Liberty Canyon Road. Detour signage will be posted along the route.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
Free shuttle service will be available for pedestrians and cyclists to navigate around the closed section of Agoura Road. Shuttles will operate every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the scheduled closure dates.
- Eastbound: The eastbound shuttle pick-up location will be at Dorothy Drive and Chesebro Road. The drop-off location will be at Liberty Canyon and Agoura Road.
- Westbound: The westbound shuttle pick-up location will be at Liberty Canyon and Agoura Road. The drop-off location will be at Dorothy Drive and Chesebro Road.
BUS STOP RELOCATIONS
Bus stops within the closure limits will be temporarily relocated during the full closure.
