Description

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to improve pedestrian infrastructure along the eastbound side of State Route 152 across Corralitos Creek Bridge in Santa Cruz County. The existing pedestrian pathway must be updated to be accessible to persons with disabilities in compliance with all State and Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

Project Benefits

Purpose: The purpose of the project is to improve pedestrian infrastructure along the eastbound side of State Route 152 across Corralitos Creek Bridge and to make the existing path of pedestrian travel accessible and Americans with Disabilities Act compliant.

Need: The project is needed to make existing pedestrian pathways accessible to persons with disabilities in compliance with all State and Federal Americans with Disabilities Act standards.

  • Environmental document to be completed: 4/16/2020
  • Right of way acquisition to be completed: 2/23/2022
  • Design to be completed: 11/29/2021
  • Advertise: 4/1/2022
  • Construction to begin: 10/4/2023
  • Construction to be completed: 9/18/2024
