Project Details

Caltrans will be removing fallen trees, remove debris, clean drainage system, and regrade slope on SR-9. In order to safely perform this work, Caltrans will perform full daytime closures starting at 7AM on State Route 9 (SR-9) Big Basin Way from Sanborn Road, to Redwood Gulch Road, in the city of Saratoga, Santa Clara County. 

Motorists are advised to use detour routes, expect delays and allow extra time when traveling.

Closures

Days and Hours of Work:

Work continues Monday through Friday 7AM-5PM;
All lanes open to traffic*

Sundays, No planned work;
All lanes open to traffic

*could have potential to hold traffic for up to 5 minutes if needed on mainline Highway 9 and/or the private driveway if conditions require it

Northbound Detour

From State Route 9:
  • Turn RIGHT/LEFT on Redwood Gulch Road
  • Turn RIGHT on Stevens Canyon Road
  • Turn RIGHT on Mt Eden Road
  • Turn RIGHT on Pierce Road
  • Turn RIGHT/LEFT on NB SR-9

Southbound Detour

From State Route 9:
  • Turn RIGHT/LEFT on Pierce Road
  • Turn LEFT on Mt Eden Road
  • Turn LEFT on Stevens Canyon Road
  • Turn LEFT on Redwood Gulch Road
  • Turn RIGHT/LEFT on SB SR-9
