Where is the Closure Happening?

To ensure the safety of the traveling public, Caltrans will be closing lanes on US-101 in both directions starting at 8 p.m. Crews will be closing the Northbound US-101 off-ramp at Lincoln Boulevard in San Francisco, the Southbound US-101 off-ramp at Spencer Avenue in Marin County, the Northbound US-101 on- and off-ramps at Girard Street in San Francisco, the Northbound US-101/State Route 1 (SR-1) interchange off-ramp, and SR-1 at Lake Street.

Traffic Impacts

Motorists are urged to plan ahead when traveling to San Francisco to view the fireworks, as heavy congestion and significant delays are expected on routes serving The Presidio, Crissy Field, the Marina, and other popular viewing areas. Drivers should anticipate delays before and after the show. Caltrans strongly encourages the use of public transit, which will offer extended service.
