State Route 29 Pavement Repair Project-Napa Valley

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has started a long-term project to repair the pavement on approximately 15 miles of northbound and southbound State Route 29 (SR-29) between the City of Napa and just south of the City of St. Helena.

Project Benefits

Crews will repair pavement, upgrade guard rails, ADA curb ramps, and repair drainage culverts.

Work Timeline

Preliminary work started in early March 2018. Major pavement work is scheduled to begin as early as May 2018 and be completed in fall 2018.

Overnight Lane Reductions

Although no highway closures are scheduled at this time, motorists should drive with caution as lane reductions may be in effect during overnight pavement repair work. Motorists should plan ahead and allow extra time for travel.

Stationary mounted signs and changeable message signs (CMS) will be strategically placed to provide information regarding scheduled closures and detours.
