State Route 29 Napa River Bridge in Calistoga
Caltrans will replace the Napa River Bridge (Bridge # 21-0019) on State Route 29 (SR-29)/Main Street in the City of Calistoga in Napa County.
During the bridge construction project, motorists may face intermittent delays as construction crews alternate traffic on and approaching the bridge. The bridge will be replaced in phases. One lane of traffic on northbound and southbound SR-29 will remain open at all times. However, traffic lanes may be reduced. Motorists should expect delays.
What to Expect
During the work, some parking spaces on Main Street will no longer be available. Also, some VINE Transit Bus stops will be relocated. For additional VINE Transit information go to the Vine Transit Routes page or call 800-696-6443.
Work in preparation of bridge demolition started in June 2017. Construction of the new bridge may be completed as early as spring 2019. All work is weather permitting.
Stationary mounted signs and changeable message signs (CMS) will be strategically stationed to provide information regarding reduced traffic lanes, and other construction information.
