Map showing the location of the Richardson Bay Bridge project on US-101 in Mill Valley. The need for the project is to preserve the existing bridge and decrease the probability of costly repairs in the future. The bicycle lane will be shut down during construction. Residents in the area may experience noise and dust.

The project started on Sept. 25, 2022, on US-101 northbound. Ramp and lane closures will be needed throughout the project. Most of the work is expected to be performed at night. Lane closures are between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., and ramp closures are between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Winter suspension happened in December due to weather and temperature. Polyester concrete can’t be placed below 40 degrees or in the presence of moisture. The project is expected to start again in the spring of 2023.
