There is a two-way, 12-foot bicycle and pedestrian path on the west side of the westbound span. The distance is 0.6 miles.

The bicycle and pedestrian path on the Carquinez Bridge is open 24/7.

Connecting to Bike Infrastructure

From the Contra Costa side, the pathway is accessed from the intersection of San Pablo Avenue, Pomona and Merchant streets. On the Solano side, the pathway is accessed from Maritime Academy Drive. The pathway serves as part of the Bay Trail.
