Caltrans District 4 Water Bottle Drive - Sips for Scholars
About: Caltrans District 4 is proud to launch "Sips for Scholars", a reusable water bottle drive supporting students at West Oakland Middle School, where access to clean, safe drinking water has been impacted by lead contamination.
Why: In Alignment with the Caltrans Equity Statement and our People First values, this drive promotes equity, inclusion, safety, and climate sustainability. By providing reusable water bottles, we reduce waste, support student health, and ensure every child has access to safe hydration, one sip at a time.
Who: Caltrans District 4 in Partnership with West Oakland Middle High School - https://woms.ousd.org/
What:
- New reusable water bottles (plastic, stainless steel, BPA-free plastic, or collapsible silicone)
- No Specific color, material or brand required
- All sizes welcome, ideally 12-24 oz
When: Collection Period:
September 16th, & 24th
Donation Hours: 10am - 1:30 pm
