Contra Costa County — Caltrans District 4 construction has revised its scheduled for the full Closure of Stenmark Drive on-ramp to westbound I-580, due to coordination delays. For the protection of both construction workers and motoring public during the ongoing I-580 Richmond–San Rafael Bridge Open Road Tolling Project. Work will is no set to begin Monday, June 8, 2026, all vehicles must use the detour to WB I-580 via EB I-580 until July 10, 2026. This closure allows crews to safely prepare and modify the toll plaza area, which may require working near traffic lanes, moving heavy materials, or operating machinery. Please observe the reduced speed limit. A long term full closure of the Stenmark Drive on-ramp to WB I-580 will be implemented at a later date.
