Tentatively scheduled to begin 7 PM, Monday, June 1, 2026, through 7 PM, July 1, 2026

Contra Costa County — Caltrans District 4 construction is slated to implement a full closure of Stenmark Drive on-ramp to westbound I-580. For the protection of both construction workers and motoring public during the ongoing I-580 Richmond–San Rafael Bridge Open Road Tolling Project, starting the night of Monday, June 1, 2026, all vehicles must use the detour to WB I-580 via EB I-580 until July 1, 2026. This closure allows crews to safely prepare and modify the toll plaza area, which may require working near traffic lanes, moving heavy materials, or operating machinery. Please observe the reduced speed limit. A long-term full closure of the Stenmark Drive on-ramp to WB I-580 will be implemented at a later date.
