Napa County – Caltrans continues to implement overnight full lane closures and continuous 24-hour day and night one-way reversing traffic control on SR 29 between Rutherford Road and Oakville Cross Road in Rutherford, Napa County. These closures are designed to help construction crews to expedite Phase 1 of the Culvert Project as they replace culverts and stabilize the roadway, with one-way reversing traffic control in place during the process.
During Stage 1 of construction, crews will remove the Northbound roadway portion of the existing culvert and replace it with a cast in place concrete box culvert while traffic is shifted into a single lane for use by both directions of travel. Stage 1 is scheduled to be completed by March 28, 2026.
All work is weather dependent. When Stage 2 is underway, two traffic lanes will be available for motorists’ use.
