SR-29 Culvert Project in Napa County

Nightly Reverse One-Way Traffic Control on State Route 29 (SR-29) for Culvert Work in Between Rutherford, Oakville in Napa County.

Crews will remove the existing culvert and replace it with a cast in place box culvert.

Construction Schedule

This emergency project is expected to last until spring, 2026. All work is weather dependent. Future traffic advisories will be sent out if dates or times change.

  • Caltrans has reverse one-way traffic control of State Route 29 (SR-29) in effect between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. the next mornings for culvert replacement work and road stabilization in between Rutherford and Oakville roads (south of Glos Lane). Crews will work a six night work schedule, Monday through Saturday, starting January 26th.
  • Starting by 6 a.m. on February 13th, Caltrans will have reverse one-way traffic control of State  Route 29 (SR-29) in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 
  • Full closures of State Route 29 (SR-29) will occur on the nights of February 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning.
  • Flaggers will be present and Changeable Message Signs (CMS) signs will be posted to help the traveling public.
