55-Hour Single Lane Closures, Barrier Work on U.S. 101 San Mateo/Santa Clara County Line to Whipple Avenue

Schedule: Friday, July 19, 10 p.m. through Monday, July 22 at 5 a.m.

San Mateo County - Caltrans will begin median barrier upgrade work on US-101 between the San Mateo/ Santa Clara County line to Whipple Avenue. Caltrans will close a 2.4-mile section of the North and Southbound Express Lanes (#1 lane) beginning on Friday, July 19, from 10 p.m. to Monday, July 22 at 5 a.m. This is the first of nine 55-hour single lane closures scheduled to complete barrier upgrade and related work. Each closure work limits will be a 2.5-mile section. All work will be done outside of Express Lane operational hours. An additional lane may be closed at various times during the closures to facilitate equipment and materials.
