56-Hr Full Highway Closure of Southbound State Route-87 Between Interstate-280 and State Route-85 in San Jose begins Friday, Oct.20 (Detour routes SR-17, SR-85, I-280, and U.S. 101)

Drivers are advised to use either US-101 or SR-17 as an alternative route during the closure.San Jose – Caltrans is scheduled to close southbound State Route 87 (SR-87) on Friday, October 20 at 9 PM, through Monday, October 23, at 5 AM, for the next phase of the SR-87 Pavement Rehabilitation Project. During the 56-hour weekend highway closures, Caltrans will perform major pavement repair work on southbound SR-87 in Santa Clara County. Detours will be in effect. All work is weather dependent. The purpose of the project is to improve ride quality, enhance safety, and extend the service life of the pavement.

SOUTHBOUND SR-87 FULL HIGHWAY CLOSURES BETWEEN SR-85 AND I-280 WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 20:
Weekend closure on SB SR-87 is scheduled for the weekend of October 20, 2023. SB SR-87 will be closed, and traffic detoured (see detour maps). The closures will start Friday at 9 P.M. and conclude on the following Monday no later than 5 A.M.
