56-Hr Full Highway Closure of Northbound State Route-87 Between Interstate-280 and HWY-85 the Weekend of September 22, and Southbound closure the weekend of October 20. San Jose, Santa, Clara County

San Jose – Caltrans is scheduled to close southbound and northbound State Route 87 (SR-87) on two different weekends, one occurring in late-September and another in late October. During the 56-hour weekend highway closures, Caltrans will perform major pavement repair work on northbound and southbound SR-87 in Santa Clara County. One traffic direction on SR-87 will be worked on at a time. Detours will be in effect. All work is weather dependent. The purpose of the project is to improve ride quality, enhance safety, and extend the service life of the pavement.

NORTHBOUND SR-87 FULL HIGHWAY CLOSURE BETWEEN SR-85 AND I-280 WEEKEND OF SEPTEMBER 22:
Weekend closures on NB SR-87 is scheduled for the weekend of September 22. NB SR-87 will be closed, and traffic detoured (see detour maps). The closure will start Fridays after 9 P.M. and conclude on the following Mondays no later than 5 A.M.

SOUTHBOUND SR-87 FULL HIGHWAY CLOSURES BETWEEN SR-85 AND I-280 WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 20:
Weekend closure on SB SR-87 is scheduled for the weekend of October 20, 2023. SB SR-87 will be closed, and traffic detoured (see detour maps). The closures will start Fridays after 9 P.M. and conclude on the following Mondays no later than 5 A.M.
