Striping and Delineation
Bidder Inquiry / Response
For the project above, may I ask if an estimated start date and completion date have been established and if there is a specific address or location for the work site?
Your attention is directed to paragraph 4 of the Notice to Bidders regarding working days (10 working days). Also to Section 3 of the Standard Specifications regarding Contract Award and Execution and Section 8-1.04B regarding Standard Start date.
Please bid per the current contract documents.
Your attention is directed to paragraph 10 of the Notice to Bidders. Also to Title Sheet and Sheet PDQ-1 of the Project plans regarding the Project Location.
The contractor class as attached below is stated as class A but it is all striping so shouldn’t you also have class c-32 so a striper can bid direct without a paver having to mark up everything?
Your attention is directed to paragraph 4 of the Notice to Bidders regarding working days (10 working days). Also to Section 3 of the Standard Specifications An Addendum will be made to the Contract adding the C-32 Licensing, to the Notice to Bidders Sheet. It will state, “The Contractor must have either an A license or a C-32 license.”
The responses to bidder's inquiries, unless incorporated into a formal addendum to the contract, are not a part of the contract and are provided for the bidder's convenience only. In some instances, the question and answer may represent a summary of the matters discussed rather than a word-for-word recitation. The availability or use of information provided in the responses to bidder's inquiries is not to be construed in any way as a waiver of the provisions of Section 2-1.03 of the Standard Specifications or any other provision of the contract, the plans, Standard Specifications or Special Provisions, nor to excuse the contractor from full compliance with those contract requirements. Bidders are cautioned that subsequent responses or contract addenda may affect or vary a response previously given.
